I’ve been meaning to learn the Android development environment but was not excited about leaving my beloved NetBeans IDE.  Fortunately, there is the NBAndroid plugin that, together with the Android SDK, allows you to easily develop and  test Android apps using NetBeans.  Next up, go through (and report on) some Android tutorials.
